On Tuesday, April 29, Ailyn Pérez heads to London’s Royal Albert Hall for this year’s Classic FM Live gala featuring selections from the album Love Duets: “O soave fanciulla” from Puccini’s La bohème and “Esulti pur la Barbara” from Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore. The evening’s other performers include violinist David Garrett, clarinetist Andreas Ottensamer, pianist Joseph Moog, and the massed forces of the Central Band of the Royal Air Force playing regal favorites, all accompanied by spectacular lights and fireworks. More information can be found on Classic FM’s website.

Immediately following this special performance, Pérez – “an ideal Violetta” (Observer) – returns for her first scheduled performances of Verdi’s La Traviata in Richard Eyre’s iconic staging at London’s Royal Opera House. The four performance run begins May 6 and ends on May 20, and tickets can still be purchased online at the Royal Opera House’s website.
