Chicago native Ailyn Perez makes her second appearance at the city’s famous Ravinia Festival this summer (Aug 14 & 16). In 2012 the soprano brought to life Pamina, Mozart’s heroine in Die Zauberflöte, and this summer she takes on another of the Austrian master’s famous roles, Zerlina in Don Giovanni. James Conlon leads the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for the performances, which also features Christopher Maltman as the lecherous Don Giovanni, Tamara Wilson as Donna Anna, David Bižić as Leporello, Saimir Pirgu and Don Ottavia and Aga Mikolaj as Donna Elvira.
