More than 27,000 opera fans flocked to AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, in 2012 when San Francisco Opera offered a free live simulcast of Verdi’s Rigoletto as part of their Opera in the Ballpark series. Verdi remains the theme for Opera in the Ballpark this year when SFO offers another free live simulcast on July 5, of La Traviata starring Ailyn Pérez in the title role.
