The Metropolitan Opera announced today that Ailyn Pérez will be making her debut at the legendary New York City opera house on February 6, 2015 as Micaëla in Bizet’s Carmen. The revival of the acclaimed production by Richard Eyre will also star Latvian mezzo-soprano Elina Garanca in the title role and Roberto Alagna as Don José. French maestro Louis Langrée conducts Pérez’s performances, which run through March 7, 2015. More information can be found on the Metropolitan Opera website.
