Ailyn Pérez begins the 2023/24 season with her thrilling debut as the title role of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly at Teatro di San Carlo. One of Puccini’s most famous and enduring works, Dan Ettinger conducts this beautiful and evocative score, featuring a production by Ferzan Ozpetek.
Performance dates include September 12, 17, 24, & 27. Ms. Pérez is joined by a top notch cast, including Saimir Pirgu as Pinkerton, Marina Comparato as Suzuki, Ernesto Petti as Sharpless, Li Danyang as Goro, Ildo Song as Bonze, Paolo Orecchia as Yamadori, and Laura Ulloa as Kate Pinkerton, among others.
