This recording of Dvořák’s Biblical Songs is the last recording of the chief conductor and music director of the Czech Philharmonic, Jiří Bělohlávek, which was recorded in February 2017, three months before his passing.
The Requiem features soloists Ailyn Pérez, Christianne Stotijn, Michael Spyres and Jan Martiník and the Prague Philharmonic Choir, led by Lukáš Vasilek. It was recorded by the principal guest conductor of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, Jakub Hrůša, as well as the Te Deum with Kateřina Kněžíková, Svatopluk Sem and the Prague Philharmonic Choir.
