This June, Ailyn Pérez makes her house and role debut in Verdi’s triumphant Aida at the Semperoper Dresden. She has been widely praised for her interpretations of Verdi’s music, with The Houston Press praising her singing as doing “full justice to Verdi’s remarkable score” and Klassik begeistert applauding her “sophisticated and technically brilliant” musicality.
Conducted by Erik Nielsen and directed by Katharina Thalbach, Pérez is joined by a stunning cast including Eve-Maud Hubeaux as Amneris, Francesco Meli as Radamès, Oleksandr Pushniak as Amonasro, Soloman Howard as Ramfis, Alexandros Stavrakakis as the King, Jin Yu as the Messenger, and Magdalena Lucjan as the High Priestess.
