Ailyn Pérez begins 2025 with a return to Staatsoper Berlin, singing the fiery title role in Puccini’s Tosca. It’s a role Pérez has sung to great international acclaim at Staatsoper Hamburg, Fondazione Petruzzelli, and San Francisco Opera, where her role debut performance was praised by the San Francisco Chronicle as “the very embodiment of it in the title role.”
Pérez joins Alvis Hermanis’ imaginative production, under the baton of Giuseppe Mentuccia. The all-star cast includes Vittorio Grigolo as the passionate painter, Mario Cavaradossi, and Roman Burdenko as the villainous Baron Scarpia. Performances are January 11, 14, and 17
