Ailyn Pérez to receive the Sphinx Medal of Excellence

On March 29 in Washington D.C., Ailyn Pérez will be honored with a 2017 Sphinx Medal of Excellence. This annual award honors three outstanding artists of color whose accomplishments distinguish them among musicians in the field; fellow colleagues honored this year also include Kelly Hall-Tompkins and Eugene Rogers. The honorees will receive their medals from Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor at a luncheon event, followed by a celebratory black-tie gala. For more information visit SphinxMusic.org.
