Several new engagements were recently announced for Richard Tucker Award-winning soprano Ailyn Pérez, adding to her already busy schedule of high profile appearances around the world. This summer she returns to her hometown of Chicago to take on the role of Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni at Ravinia on August 14 and 16. James Conlon conducts the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for Mozart’s beloved work. It was also recently announced that Pérez will return to Munich’s Bayerische Staatsoper next season, this time as Adina in Donizetti’s comedic masterwork L’Elisir D’Amore. Asher Fisch leads the three performance revival of David Boesch’s beloved production (April 10-15).
Pérez will also be seen on the concert stage across the US this fall, beginning on September 10 when Pérez opens the Washington National Opera’s season in concert. Joined by pianist Danielle Orlando, featuring repertoire from the upcoming album on Warner Classics, Love Duets.
