On July 26 and 28, Ailyn Pérez sings the role of Violetta in Cincinnati Opera’s production of Verdi’s La traviata. Ailyn received high praise when she last sang this role at the Royal Opera House in London last November; the Observer called her “an ideal Violetta,” going on to say “her performance was glorious, the quiet passages magical.” This is the first time Ailyn has performed in Cincinnati since 2010, when she sang Mimì alongside his Rodolfo in La bohème.
