Just in time for the holidays, Ailyn Pérez stars in her signature role of Mimì in Puccini’s La Bohème at the Staatsoper Berlin on December 15, 18, & 21. Hailed by critics and audiences worldwide for her dramatic and musical portrayals as Mimì, Anthony Tommasini from The New York Times praised her performance in 2019 at the Met Opera, saying, “Ms. Pérez, singing with melting sound and affecting vulnerability, made an endearing Mimì, a sensual young woman not afraid to let go when feelings of romantic longing welled up at the first sight of Rodolfo.”
Ms. Pérez is joined by a wonderful cast of singers, including Evelin Novak as Musetta, Stephen Pop as Rodolfo, Andrzej Filonczyk as Marcello, Carles Pachon as Schaunard, David Ostrek as Colline, Johan Krogius as Parpignol, and Olaf Baer as Benoit, Alcindoro. Massimo Zanetti conducts.
