Incoming Teatro alla Scala Intendant Alexander Pereira announced yesterday that soprano Ailyn Pérez will return to the legendary Milanese opera house for three performances of Puccini’s La Boheme next season. Pérez returns to the role of Mimi, which has quickly become one of her calling card roles, on August 26, 29 & September 2, 2015. Leading the production from the pit will be the celebrated Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel, and Pérez’s co-stars include tenor Ramón Vargas as Rodolfo and baritone Gabriele Viviani as Marcello.
