Ailyn Pérez has been honored as the recipient of this year’s Beverly Sills Artist Award, presented by The Metropolitan Opera. The award, given in memory of Ms. Sills’ tremendous legacy, is accompanied by a cash prize to foster the career of promising singers who have appeared in solo roles at The Met. Ailyn made her Met debut in 2015 as Micaëla in Carmen and will sing her first Met performances as Musetta in La bohème beginning April 15, and will perform the role of Mimì in Bohème next season.
