‘Letters from Russia’ with the New Century Chamber Orchestra

Ailyn Pérez makes her debut appearance with the New Century Chamber Orchestra this month, in their first concert series of the 15-16 season, titled ‘Letters from Russia.’ The programme features Ailyn on two pieces, the stunning “Letter Scene” from Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin and Rachmaninoff’s Vocalise. In addition, the NCCO performs works by Shostakovich, Pärt, and Jennifer Higdon. The concerts take place September 17 in Berkeley, September 18 in Palo Alto, September 19 in San Francisco, and San Rafael on September 20. There is also an open rehearsal on September 16 at the Kanbar Performing Arts Center.
