Poème d’un jour, the hotly anticipated debut album from Richard Tucker Award-winning soprano Ailyn Pérez, was released today in the United States. Critics in the US have already lauded the album, including the New Jersey Star Tribune’s praise for Pérez’s ability to “bring something extraordinary to [roles including Violetta in La Traviata and Mimí in La Bohéme] and achieve recognition that goes far beyond the typical opera sphere.” The review went on to note that “Pérez displays a powerful, distinctive tone that is both deep and rosy.
